Let’s talk about the ONE THING that causes investors to lean forward.



👍 YOU MUST HAVE THIS IN YOUR PITCH.


The GOAL of sending a pitch deck:


Remember, the goal of the deck isn’t to land investment money on the spot.
The goal is to continue the conversation and start the relationship.

The odds of you sending a cold email, with a deck, and landing $$$ from that single effort are nearly 0%.


So, you need to stir the interest of the investor.
You need to make him/her want to hear more.
Your goal is to get a meeting — not to convince them you are the perfect fit for this. They’ll find out if that’s true in a meeting.

DO NOT tell the whole story.


BE BRIEF.

Give them just enough information so they will want to setup a call with you.

And, above all…

INCLUDE THIS…



YOUR TRACTION


The idea is important.
The problem is important.
The addressable market is important.
Your solution is important.
Your team is important.

But, most of all:


TRACTION shows that this isn’t just a concept.


Investors don’t fund ideas. Everyone has ideas.


Investors want to fund startups that are off and running — where they know their invested money will propel this rocket forward.


✅ TRACTION shows that you aren’t just a ‘wantrepreneur’ who is playing startup make-believe.


If you have solid traction, investors know you are serious and that you’re all in.


TRACTION shows you can do much, with little.



👉 If you’re waiting on venture capital to get started, your startup will never happen. 👈



If you have traction, it shows you are brave and you are willing to jump out into the unknown and figure things out.



It shows you’re willing to risk failure and embarrassment — and chances are, you’ll fail at this venture, A LOT. Traction shows that you realize this and are willing to move forward.

If you spend serious time talking with potential customers about their problems and possible solutions, your traction could be:

✅ A Waiting List


✅ An active Discord Community


✅ A manual solution to a problem that you sold.

Perhaps you solved customer problems 1 on 1 via a zoom call or a PDF.


If you show that you are determined to win and you’ve manually solved customer problems — investors know that with some tech and other resources, you can solve these problems at scale.


Go out and get TRACTION



✅ You don’t need money or anyone else to start diving into customer problems.



✅ You don’t need money to build an email list.



✅ You don’t need money to write a PDF and sell it.
