Your first version is supposed to suck. Let’s be honest.

Your first product or service is supposed to be a basic, stripped-down version of your ultimate vision.

👉 You have to get SOMETHING in the hands of your customers to make sure your assumptions are correct.

Disney does this exact same thing when they develop a new character.

✔ Just check out the first versions of some of their most popular characters, below:

🙄 Uh, that’s Aladdin on the left.

This is the first try from the artists.

They had a vision of what this character might look like, but the first version was terrible.

Then — they put their heads together and slowly improved it until it was perfect.

✅ You should do the same thing — make a simple, basic first version, and then slowly improve it based on customer feedback.

👀 Disney knows not to waste time and resources on version 1. We should be doing the same thing!
